The season is over halfway completed and the Louisville baseball team continues to roll. They hosted Duke over Thunder weekend and took the series 2-1.
Game One: Duke 5, Louisville 3 In only their sixth loss of the season the Cards fell to the Blue Devils. Brendan McKay took the loss on the mound after giving up all of the runs and six of Duke's nine hits. Drew Ellis had all of the RBI after hitting two home runs in the game. Strikeouts weren't much of a problem as much as the offense hit the ball straight to defenders every play.
Game Two: Louisville 7, Duke 5 A seven run second inning won the game for the home team. Louisville had 12 batters come up in the inning, using multiple players walked and hit by pitch to fuel the rally. Devin Mann, Devin Hairston, and Ellis all had multiple hits on the day. Kade McClure got the start, but it was Adam Wolf who took the win.
