River City Cards own Seth Spalding competed in the Louisville Bat's first media hot dog contest, and came tied for second; behind WHAS 11's Joe Federle.
The contest was the first of its kind at Slugger Field. Spalding was able to finish 10; bun included.
Federle downed 12. He established dominance early, and held off the lead. Spalding attempted a hot dog-then-bun technique, but the dryness of the buns slowed down the speed of eating; despite dipping buns in water.
