After leading at halftime the Louisville lacrosse team ultimately fell to Notre Dame 9-7 in South Bend. Hannah Koloski and Meghan Siverson scored two goals apiece, but the Cards fell just short in the end.
The #20 Cardinals held onto a 5-4 lead going into halftime on goals by five different players. The #7 Fighting Irish held true to their nickname and fought back to outscore Louisville 5-2 in the second half.
Koloski and Siverson scored back-to-back goals to bring the Cards within one, but Notre Dame scored with 7:11 remaining to end the scoring for the game.
U of L, who just moved into the top-20 for the first time this season, took their second loss on the year, both on the road.
Louisville drops to 6-2 on the season and has lost their only ACC game so far. They return home on Saturday for a noon game against Duke.
