Behind 26 points from Jordan Nwora and 23 from Steven Enoch, the Louisville Cardinals demolished the Eastern Kentucky Colonels 99-67. They jumped out to a big halftime lead and managed to maintain through the end of the game.
The Cardinals shot 63 percent from the field in both halves. They hit 6 of 12 beyond the arc in the first half. Nwora led both teams with 17 points; and hit all three of his three-point buckets. The Cardinals were also strong in the paint, scoring 20 of their 50 first-half points in the paint. After the first half, Louisville led 50-32.
Steven Enoch was strong in the second. He had 14 points, and only missed one shot. Nwora also had nine. 22 of Louisville’s 49 points were in the paint. The Cardinals ended the game with a layup by Aidan Igiehon and two free
throws from Josh Nickelberry.
34 of Louisville’s points were off of turnovers. 42 were in the paint. 12 were off of a fast break.
Louisville’s next game is against Miami (OH). It is Wednesday, December 18th, at 8:30 pm. The game will be broadcast on ACC Network. It is the final game before a matchup with the Kentucky Wildcats in Lexington.
