Good news for the Cards broke Monday Morning as 6’ 10” senior forward Mangok Mathiang is off crutches and walking on his own power. Mathiang suffered a broken foot against western Kentucky last December.
Kenny Kline sent out a tweet stating Mathiang was working out on a stationary bike. He is 4 weeks into his rehab, and still won’t be ready to go for at least a couple of weeks. Kenny Kline also tweeted that Mathiang is wearing special orthotics in his normal street shoes to support his repaired foot.
Mathiang will have another X-Ray in two weeks. The results will either clear him to return to action or keep him out for another few weeks. He was a team captain averaging 6.5 PPG and 5.2RPG before his injury.
