Louisville receives first round bye, hosts through elite eight
For the second straight year the Louisville men's soccer team has been selected as the 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Cards finished the season 11-2-4 and third in the ACC regular season.
Of the 48 teams in the tournament a record nine ACC teams were invited. Only three ACC teams failed to make it to the tournament. Seven of those nine are seeded in the top 16.
Louisville's high seeding grants them the opportunity to host at Lynn Stadium all the way through the Elite Eight. They also receive a first round bye.
Their fist game will by Sunday afternoon against the winner of California and San Francisco.
