Ann Arbor, Mi.- The #7 Louisville field hockey team fell to #11 Michigan 4-1 in the Cards' season finale. Louisville falls to 15-4 on the season, but stayed at 3-3 in the ACC.
The Wolverines went into halftime up 1-0, but jumped out to a 3-0 in the second half. The lone goal for U of L came from senior Lotta Kahlert. She is up to 9 goals on the season, second only to Minout Mink. Michigan scored one more time before the end of the game to complete the blowout.
McFerran did record three saves, although she allowed four goals.
Louisville advances to the ACC tournament, receiving the 4-seed. They face the 5-seed North Carolina Tar Heels on Friday, November 4. The Cards took a 1-0 victory over UNC at Trager Stadium earlier in the season.
