Erica Cooper scored all four goals as #7 Louisville field hockey defeated Appalachian State on the road 4-0. The victory came days after the Cards were upset at Wake Forest in their third loss of the season.
The freshman scored her first goal of the game just 30 seconds in after finding space in the middle of the box. Her second came 96 seconds later. Cooper earned the first half hat trick at the 30 minute mark off a rebound. Her fourth and final goal of the game came in the second half with 10 minutes remaining following a rebound off a save by the goalkeeper. The four goals propel Cooper to the top of the list in goals scored for the Cards with six.
Louisville moves to 7-3 on the year and boasts a conference record of 1-2.
