The rowing team is just one of many Louisville teams celebrating a good start to April. The #20 Cardinals topped #16 Indiana Saturday morning. They faced #14 Iowa in the afternoon and fell.
Rowing is not my forte. Besides knowing that the term they use for their events is "regatta" and that the coxswain (pronounced "cox-sun") is in charge of steering and keeping all members of the boat rowing together I am pretty ignorant to the rules and terms. But all of that aside the Cards had a good day!
During the morning portion Louisville posted a score of 51. The Hoosiers were close behind with 49 and the Jayhawks said back with 20. Louisville won five of the six races with IU winning the only other race.
The afternoon part featured U of L winning two of the six races. They posted a score of 50 while the Hawkeyes scored 65.
The Cards head to South Carolina for the Clemson Invitational April 23.
