The #9 Louisville women's basketball team fell in Tallahassee to #7 Florida State 72-65. Asia Durr led the Cards with 21 points.
Florida State had a fourth quarter run to pull away from Louisville. Shakayla Thomas and Brittany Brown played a key role in that run. Thomas finished with 24 points. Three other Seminoles finished in the double-digits with Brown being one of them. Brown finished with 12 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists, and six steals.
Brown achieved a pair of milestones during the game. The senior guard reached 1,000 career points, the 34th Florida State player to do so. Later in the game she became the school's steal leader, surpassing the 275 mark.
Louisville falls to 15-4 and 3-2 in ACC play. Florida State improves to 16-2 and 4-1 in conference play.
#14 Miami will be in town to take on the Cards on Sunday.
