Tonight, the Cards travel to Lexington to take on arch rival Kentucky. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 PM, pushed back a half hour from the original kickoff time.
Louisville enters undefeated at (2-0-1) and coming off a tremendous upset at No. 14 UConn. Ranked 24th in the RPI, the Cards will face fierce competition from 43rd Kentucky, ranked much higher in the coaches' poll at 17 (UofL unranked in that poll). Kentucky enters with a win in its only match played.
For junior goal scorer Mohamed Thiaw, it will be a bitter homecoming, but one that looks to feature him on the score sheet for Louisville in his hometown of Lexington, Ky.
The Louligans supporters group is sponsoring a bus trip to the match, departing from Papa Johns Cardinal Stadium at 5:30 p.m. It will cost $10 for students and $15 for the general public. Included in the cost is a match ticket and catered meal. You can book your seat on the bus on the UofL Ticket Office website.
The series is currently tied 13-13-4, with U of L winning the past two match-ups.
